Based in Frisco, Texas, Ryse Holistics is dedicated to empowering acupuncturists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and other alternative medicine practitioners to optimize their financial operations, maximize revenue, and deliver exceptional patient care.
With 28 years of extensive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, Tawana has built Ryse Holistics into a trusted partner for holistic healthcare providers. Her career progression from volunteering in the Health Information Management (HIM) Department to managing the Physician Services Billing Department for a Level III Trauma Center reflects her deep expertise and commitment to excellence. Recognizing the rapid growth in the alternative medicine industry, particularly in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tawana saw a significant opportunity to support non-physician healthcare professionals by offering specialized RCM services that address their unique challenges.
Meet the Team
Tawana McKinney-Battle, CEO, CPC, and Director of Client Operations, is not only a wife to a Navy veteran and former truck driver but also a mother to a wonderful son who is on the Spectrum. With close to 30 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management for both Professional and Facility, she is a Certified Professional Coder and a Black woman making strides as a small business owner.
Together with her business partner, Sheritha LaStrap, COO, CPC, and Director of Claims Integrity, they form a dynamic duo. Sheritha is a wife to a supportive husband who is a professional welder, a mother of two daughters with different passions – one aiming to become a choreographer and the other excelling in volleyball. With almost three decades in the medical field, ranging from clinical to revenue cycle for both Facility and Professional, Sheritha brings a wealth of experience to the table.
